27 Aug 7X HIDDEN GEMS IBIZA
Ibiza is one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations, but even though it can be very touristy, there are still hidden gems to discover in Ibiza! Add these to your itinerary and explore Ibiza like a local!
Cliff jumping Atlantis
Most people will know the famous Ibiza landmark, Cala D’Hort, but did you know that you can go cliff jumping in front of it? Jump into the blue lagoon and enjoy the beautiful view. You will also find engravings of patterns and symbols in the cave. The best way to reach Atlantis is by boat.
Portinatx Beach – Hidden gems Ibiza
This idyllic small beach is perfect if you’re looking for a beach that’s not too crowded. It’s also perfect if you have kids because the water is very shallow. The small town Portinatx is also perfect for exploring, getting some food in one of the local restaurants, or going sightseeing around town. It’s located 30 minutes from Ibiza-town and you can easily get there by car, scooter or public transport.
Discover the other face of the island, let’s go off beaten together!
Punta de Sa Pedrera (Little Atlantis)
A beautiful cliff viewpoint that’s not been discovered quite yet is Punta de Sa Pedrera, also known as Little Atlantis. It’s located near Port Des Torrent. It was used as a small-scale quarry; you can see how the stone has been carved from the cliffs. The end of the quarry has been naturally transformed so that it now resembles a small lagoon. If the tide is low you can walk or lie down in the water, but make sure to wear water shoes though. Definitely one of the best hidden gems in Ibiza.
Restaurant Es Boldado
One of the most romantic and heavenly places we have been to! sits on a hill above the beach of Cala d’Hort with an out-of-this-world view of the magnificent Es Vedrà rock. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch and get overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of Ibiza. Imagine watching the sunset here surrounded by mainly locals.
Sleep in the middle of nature at Can Castre
Can Sastre is for those that are looking for relaxation and more privacy. That being said, this secluded place is located just a few minutes from trendy Santa Gertrudis where you can find some amazing (hidden gems) restaurants in Ibiza. This one-of-a-kind property is surrounded by tropical gardens and offers nothing but bliss and serenity. Cool down at the pool, read a book and drink a glass of wine on your private terrace. Take it slow and don’t plan too much.
Little bays Cala Olivera and Cala S’Illot des Rencli
These two beaches are a local favourite and hidden gems in Ibiza. Cala Olivia is situated in the East, close to Cala Llonga. This little bay is surrounded by rocks and the water is clear and turquoise. There’s an intimate Chiringuito, where they sell cold beers and tapas. Different tracks will lead you to remote and beautiful beaches, like Cala S’Illot des Rencli, a small rustic beach in the North. Don’t forget your snorkeling gear, since there’s lots of fish to see. Visit the delightful little restaurant above the beach where you can eat fresh fish.
