7X MUST VISIT RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI 2024

We all know that Dubai is full with amazing restaurants, and the most renowned chefs from all over the world come to the city. So, which restaurant in Dubai should you visit and why is it good? We’ve made a little list with the best restaurants that Dubai has to offer, with a few new ones!

Must visit restaurants in Dubai

With the restaurant industry in Dubai being dynamic, and lavish, it’s safe to say that you have a lot of options. The restaurants we selected are all tried and tested, and are reviewed in all honesty. Let us know if there are restaurants that belong in this list!

Mimi Kakushi

Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants we ever ate, and this had a couple of reasons. When you arrive, you will walk straight into the sushi counter, which makes it feel like you’ve transported to Japan, Osaka in the 1920’s to be exact. Turning right though, you immediately walk towards the dining area which feels cosy, warm and trendy. Before you dine you can stop at the bar for a drink which is something special. Winning the 40th spot in the Best Bar in the Middle East and Africa 2023 competition, cocktails are worth the hype here.

Let’s talk about the food though. Definitely order their miso eggplant, nigiri and rolls. Wasabi is prepared freshly at your table, and the sushi melts on your tongue. Other dishes we loved are the black cod, broccolini, and the dessert plate is something worth saving room for. Next to that, the staff is amazing and friendly. A must visit restaurant in Dubai!

What we loved: cocktails are linked to a song, which the DJ plays if you order one.
Location: Across Four Seasons Resort on Jumeirah Beach Road

Riviera by Jean Imbert

Truth be told, it was easy to find this restaurant during our stay in Dubai, because we stayed at The Lana Dubai, which houses Riviera. Breakfast is served here (amazing nonetheless), but at night you can enjoy a Mediterranean menu with some innovating dishes. The ‘Mimosa’ artichoke – which was presented as a flower with a dip was an amazing starter, and the Jean’s avocado had a little surprise on the inside which you must order to see. The interior is bright, natural and the outside terrace overlooks the skyline of Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa. Well done Jean Imbert.

What we loved: they prepare some dishes at your table, the view.

The Guild

Find yourself in a New York vibe that takes you back to the roaring thirties. Plants are everywhere as you walk in, with a glasshouse salon that sets in the middle, that is used for drinks. The dining area is a large space where it all happens. The open kitchen with at least 10 cooks and chefs is buzzing while the fire is going. Large round tables and an incredible interior will make you look around for a bit before you can sit and look at the menu. The food theme is Italian, with fish options that come from the Rockpool, which is located a few steps away. Both restaurants share the same menu, set to delight meat and fish lovers.

What we loved: the interior is 10/10
Location: ICD Brookfield Place, DIFC

SMCCU – Culture lunch

Now, this place is nothing you can compare to any of the above, but we absolutely loved it. Located in the middle of the old city of Dubai, you can’t get a more local experience than this one. At Eating on the floor, on soft colourful cushions, and fresh prepared traditional Emerati food that warms your heart. Sidenote; don’t book this as a restaurant reservation, but experience this as an informative program that are held inside a traditional wind tower house where guests can enjoy authentic Emirati cuisine. Ask anything about Dubai and the UAE history, culture and traditions. You can book breakfast, lunch or dinner for 1 hour and 30 minutes for 130 AED.

What we loved: The local experience
Location: House 26 & 47, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Al Musallah Street

LEEN’s Café

Lunch with a view! This lunch spot near the financial district is located right across from the incredible Museum of the Future and offers an Asian fusion menu. We grabbed a healthy salad and spicy edamame, highly recommended! They have five branches at the moment, but we loved the location of this one as you can take a stroll through the financial district after lunch or dinner.

What we loved: The view, the laidback vibe

Arabic Tea House

If you visit the old city and traditional souk in Dubai, make sure to stop for some food or sweets at the Arabic Tea House. This beautiful decorated spot, is different from anything we had seen in Dubai so far. They offer breakfast, lunch and traditional goods like several stews, Samak Sherri Magli (fish) dates and fried dough they call Leqaimat.

What we loved: the vibe!
Location: Al fahidi street, bur Dubai

Atmosphere at Armani Hotel

Talking about a unique experience! You can dine here, but we advice you to book their breakfast on the 122nd floor! If you have the cash, go spend it on their signature golden coffee and make sure to order their croffle, a combination between a croissant and waffle. Besides, it’s a great way to skip the line for a visit inside the Burj Khalifa, as it’s located inside the famous building. Even though the food wasn’t the absolute best we’d had, the experience is super cool and worth it!

What we loved: the toilet with a view!
Location: inside the Burj Khalifa through Armani Hotel
