AMAZE | A NEW IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE IN AMSTERDAM

With the current Covid restrictions in the Netherlands, festivals are still not happening. A bummer but festival organisation ID&T hasn’t been sitting still. This week, a brand new indoor light and sound experience has opened in Amsterdam West named AMAZE.

ID&T, who also organised this glamping experience, has worked on a one-hour interactive audiovisual journey (or may we say TRIP), together with various creatives from the festival industry. Visitors can experience a ‘journey from head to heart’, in which they are taken across seven different environments with a total of 3,000 square meters and filled with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. Take a look at the video below to get a feel.

If you miss clubbing and losing yourself to sound & music, this AMAZing experience is something you’ll probably love.

An Intense Experience

In the first place, the AMAZE experience varies from intense, interactive and also relaxing. The location is kind of set up as a labyrinth and designed to reach visitors on an emotional level. “Bringing people into ecstasy (without having to take THAT pill) and letting them experience the purest emotions is in our DNA” says Irfan van Ewijk, managing director of AMAZE. It should feel like falling down the rabbit hole, an escape from reality. That feeling that you normally experience while dancing at a festival has been put together over the last few months to ensure that visitors experience this feeling in just one hour at AMAZE.

AMAZE is now open at the Elementenstraat in Amsterdam, an underground industrial location that used to host the best techno parties. Check amaze-amsterdam.nl for tickets and availability.

Good to know:

  • AMAZE is suitable for children from 10 years old.
  • A ticket costs €26.95 for 18+ and €13.50 for 18-. A reduced rate applies during off-peak hours for holders of CJP, student and city passcards.
  • The Elementenstraat has a 24-hour permit, which means that parties will be organized within AMAZE as soon as the guidelines allow this.

Enjoy!
