IN THE HEART OF IBIZA’S COUNTRYSIDE
1. Musset
In for a great breakfast? Spanish Cafe Musset is a super nice spot in the beautiful little town of Santa Gertrudis. From nice croissants and fresh coffees to açai bowls and juices. They are offering nice variety of fresh & healthy food. It has a great atmosphere with a cute little terrace. Reservations: +34 971 19 76 71
2. La Granja Farmhouse
Unfortunately they are taking a break (and explore Mexico for a while) but we still wanted to mention this amazing place in case they re-open. To demonstrate a perfect place for eating fresh, sustainable living and home grown food that is prepared with love. This organic farm with restaurant, offers a pool and live music. Given that this place is not easy to find, it’s a total hidden gem. Check out their beautiful website and find out about their story.
Explore the island, and rent a car on Ibiza!
3. Aubergine by Atzaró
This beautiful country-chic Farm-to-Table restaurant is not new, but you don’t want to miss it. The atmosphere is magic at Aubergine by Atzaró. It’s located between Santa Gertrudis and San Miguel right on the road. You don’t expect anything like this when seeing the outside. The first thing you notice when entering is the beautiful clean design and the beautiful relaxed green garden. They have their own vegetable garden on the same property. You know what that means, good and fresh food! A must try is the Greek Buddha bowl, Royal taboulé with red prawns and the Aubergine by Atzaró Cheesecake! Mind you, it can get pretty warm during lunch time, so I would recommend to go when the sun goes down, when the garden lights up orange and everything is so so pretty! Reservations: +34 971 09 00 55

4. Macao Cafe
You will find Macao cafe in the middle of Santa Gertrudis. It’s already known by many, but still worth a visit. It’s nice and cosy but always busy. The setting is great with its beautiful green garden with twinkling lights in the trees! It’s a typical Italian restaurant, so next to pizza’s you can expect some risotto, vitello tonnato, burrata and of course tiramisu. The food is clean and simple, however, the prices are not the cheapest. Reservations: +34 652 047 458

5. Can Mimosa
If you are looking for a more authentic and relaxed tapas bar in Santa Gertrudis then I would recommend Can Mimosa. When you walk through the building your reach the delightful garden where many of their ingredients also grow. Other products are locally sourced, you can expect some magic on a plate here. You can come in for a casual drink or have dinner and enjoy their Spanish dishes. You can bring your kids, there’s a small playground in the garden too. The menu is super divers, nice and fresh dishes are served in a relaxed setting. Tip: Try out the Can Mimisa salad and the watermelon martinis! Reservations: +34 971 19 70 37
NORTHERN IBIZA
6. The Giri Cafe
One of my favourite restaurants in the Northern part of the island is the Giri Cafe. Situated in the charming villa of San Juan. A little surprise awaits you behind the wooden doors. We were literally blown away when we entered. A peaceful beautiful garden and an amazing setting in and outside. The menu is full of creativity and the food is exquisite! The very best of Ibiza’s flavours, culinary creations and most beautiful colours are presented on a plate. Also here, they use locally grown products and vegetables from their own garden. Honestly, we really enjoyed all the food we have tried. Especially the burrata with ripe tomatoes and fresh herbs and the avocado cheesecake took me by surprise. Reservations: +34 971 33 34 74
7. Restaurant Rebrots
The owners of Ses Soques appartments have a restaurant downstairs, called Rebrots. Put this one on your list, the food here is phenomenal! During our stay at Ses Soques, we ate twice here and both times were amazing! This restaurant stands for quality at a reasonable price, and they surprise you with their amazing cooking skills. You can tell that everything is made with lots of passion and care. Not only the colours, but also the flavours were beyond expectations. Find yourself in a modern, romantic and relaxing setting, right at the beach of S’Arenal Petit. Reservations: +34 971 32 06 09
RIGHT AT THE BEACH
8. Restaurant Es Boldado
One of the most romantic and heavenly places we’ve been to! Restaurant Es Boldado sits on a hill above the beach of Cala d’Hort with an out-off-this-world view on the magnificent Es Vedrà rock. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch and get overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of nature. They serve good wine and prices are pretty affordable, yet not cheap! Locals bring their kids here and baby chairs are available for those coming with children. TIP: order Paella here (with a glass of wine), it’s the best!
9. Amante Ibiza
How many great spots can you have! Meet Amante, a restaurant and beach club in a stunning cove in Cala Llonga. You can enjoy yourself all day, but make sure to bring enough money. Relax on the large daybeds with breathtaking views, get a relaxing massage or yoga session, followed by a delicious lunch or dinner with the sounds of the waves in te back. You will find lots of traditional fish dishes on their mediterranean menu. A must try is the Spanish squid ink risotto with scallops, but also their cheesecake is must try! Expect some excellent service, with lovely design details and an amazing setting!
10. Restaurant Jondal
Described as a restaurant with quality, simplicity, and hospitality, you are in perfect hands here. Casa Jondal is fairly new and owned by a Dutch couple. They’ve thought of every detail and offer a marvellous Mediterranean cuisine. Particularly famous for their seafood and great service. Oh, and it’s right at the beach! This is definitely the place to be. Located at Cala Jondal.
11. Restaurant Balneari
Restaurant Balneari is hidden in the south west coast of the island, set on the small and intimate beach. It’s surrounded by beautiful pine trees between rocks. Consequently, it’s super popular with locals, and therefore the restaurant is packed with Spanish people. So service can take a bit longer, but you should have all the time in the world. Start your day on the sun beds and enjoy lunch at this restaurant with some cold beers. You will be eating daily captured fish barefoot on the sand! Something that we would love to do every day right! Their signature dis is Paella, but it doesn’t really matter what you order since everything is freshly caught in the morning. Reservations: +34 971 80 82 51
12. S’illot des Rencli
You will find this treasure in the Northern part of the island. To reach the beach and restaurant you will have to drive down where you will reach a free car parking area. The restaurant is overlooking the tiny beach and sparkling ocean. The setting is spectacular, so make sure to book ahead to get a table with view and to ensure a spot. This traditional restaurant serves fresh fish and that’s what you should eat here. I took the Dorada which is served with potatoes and vegetables. Extra Tip: Plan in a late night dinner when the sun goes down, when the sky turns into red and orange. Reservations: +34 971 32 05 85
13. El Carmen
Another perfect location to watch the sunset! This traditional Mediterranean restaurant is situated in South-west overlooking the lovely little beach of Cala d’Hort. Try to book a front table right in front of the magical and legendary rock Es Vedra. Their fish and price and the prices are reasonable. It’s always busy, so make sure to book yourself a table. Reservations: +34 971 18 74 49
14. Elements Ibiza
Situated on the north of Ibiza you will find Mediterranean restaurant Elements Ibiza, on the south side of Benirras. There’s always a reason to head to Elements, due to the several themed events during the week and their dishes with fresh fish. Elements has a very special menu, in the shape of a newspaper, where you will find some very nice dishes and it also keeps you up to date on what’s going on in Ibiza! Elements Ibiza offers a range of amazing experiences; you can take a wonderful massage or find the perfect summer outfit in their boutique. Next to it you will have a beautiful view with a breathtaking sunset! Reservations: +34 971 33 31 36
