It’s gonna be May! Justin Timberlake once sang. Yes, it’s the month where we can finally say “We see you Summer!” There are lot’s of outside events this month and lot’s of food too! Here’s our Amsterdam Events Calendar for May.

Opening A’DAM Tower
When? From the 14th of May, North Amsterdam
What? The opening of Amsterdam’s Eiffel tower..(kind of)
Celebrating the opening of the highly anticipated A’DAM Tower. From the 14th of May you can go all the way up and enjoy a 360 degree view of the city. For the real daredevils there is a swing (the highest in Europe!) where you can fly back and forth over the edge (with a safety harness of course). There is an inside and an outside deck plus interactive exhibitions that change from time to time. Sneakerness Amsterdam

What? If you love sneakers, you need to be here
After five successful Dutch editions the main sneaker event in Europe returns to Amsterdam on the 14th and 15th of May. This time Sneakerness takes place in the beautiful Kromhouthal in Amsterdam North. Brands, shops and private sellers from all over Europe come to Amsterdam Noord to showcase a superb selection of the latest, most rare and vintage sneakers. For info tickets (€10,-) go here.

Sizzling oysters prepared in different ways that you can swallow with a bloody mary prepared with Kettle One wodka. All oysters are 1,- from 3.30pm.

Sissy-Boy Spring Market
When? 28th of May, open air theater Vondelpark
What? Stylish market stalls with a touch of Sissy-Boy
