Sure, Amsterdam sells a lot of cookies. You can even find them in the supermarket. But what makes a good cookie? Everyone has their favourite, so we made a list of various cookie shops across the city, so you can take your pick.

These cookies were famous before there was TikTok, and therefore a classic in Amsterdam! Van Stapele Koekmakerij bakes up a chocolate cookie with a white chocolate filling to die for.

Have a Roll

Brand new in Amsterdam, after their success in Antwerp. Have a Roll creates vegan rolls with the signature one being the cinnamon roll. Does it pass for a cookie? Well, it’s baked, it’s sweet and it was made with love, so we like to believe so!

Van Wonderen Stroopwafels

A typical Dutch sweet delight, but pimped with coulouful toppings. It’s a favourite for both tourists and locals, and they are located on the busy Kalverstraat, so not to miss! We know it looks pretty, but don’t forget to eat it!

Also brand new is this small cookie store owned by Dutch friends Marieke and Marijntje, who both have a background at Tony Chocolonely’s. Dynamite’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough proves their funky flavors, with a crunchy crust and chewy inside.  They also sell Cinnamon Buddies,a mix between cinnamon and white chocolate.

Bakery Levain et le Vin

Known for its artisanal bread and pastries, this bakery also makes delicious cookies. They have a rotating selection of cookies, including chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and more.

Melly’s Cookie Bar

Hence the name, they sell cookies here! Started as a cookie store 20 years ago, they now offer so much more. Croissants, Cinnamon rolls, and other pastries.
