IN THE HEART OF IBIZA’S COUNTRYSIDE

1. Chez Bibi

This is the cutest place in the heart of the island, in the picturesque village of Santa Gertrudis. This bakery has the most delicious French patisserie and bread. Easy for take out, but definitely worth staying and order something from the menu. They serve amazing homemade dishes in their charming garden terrace like salads, pancakes, quiches, açai bowls and so much more.

2. Musset

In for a great breakfast or lunch? Spanish Cafe Musset is a super nice spot in the beautiful little town of Santa Gertrudis. From nice croissants, fresh juices, açai bowls to sandwiches and salads. 3. Aubergine by Atzaró

This beautiful country-chic Farm-to-Table restaurant is not new, but you don’t want to miss it. The atmosphere is magic at Aubergine by Atzaró. It’s located between Santa Gertrudis and San Miguel right on the road. You don’t expect anything like this when seeing the outside. The first thing you notice when entering is the beautiful clean design and the beautiful relaxed green garden. They have their own vegetable garden on the same property. You know what that means, good and fresh food!

A must try is the Greek Buddha bowl, Royal taboulé with red prawns and the Aubergine by Atzaró Cheesecake! Mind you, it can get pretty warm during lunch time, so I would recommend to go when the sun goes down, when the garden lights up orange and everything is so so pretty! 4. Macao Cafe

You will find Macao cafe in the middle of Santa Gertrudis. It’s already known by many, but still worth a visit. It’s nice and cosy but always busy. The setting is great with its beautiful green garden with twinkling lights in the trees! It’s a typical Italian restaurant, so next to pizza’s you can expect some risotto, vitello tonnato, burrata and of course tiramisu. The food is clean and simple, however, the prices are not the cheapest.

5. Can Mimosa

If you are looking for a more authentic and relaxed tapas bar in Santa Gertrudis then I would recommend Can Mimosa. When you walk through the building your reach the delightful garden where many of their ingredients also grow. Other products are locally sourced, you can expect some magic on a plate here. You can come in for a casual drink or have dinner and enjoy their Spanish dishes. You can bring your kids, there’s a small playground in the garden too. The menu is super divers, nice and fresh dishes are served in a relaxed setting.

NORTHERN IBIZA

7. Juntos House Restaurant

Enjoy a very good meal and delicious meal in the idyllic garden terrace of Juntos. Uncover this amazing restaurant which is nestled in the picturesque village of Sant Mateu. The ambience indoor and outdoor is super cozy, with lunch and dinner available from Wednesday through Saturday.

They use simple, fresh and seasonal food ingredients with delicious combinations of flavours, that will offer an unforgettable experience. They work in harmony with local organic farms. My favourite dishes were the labneh with pumpkin dish and the matcha and white chocolate coulant. After lunch enjoy browsing the sustainable treasures in the Juntos boutique.

8. The Giri Cafe

One of my favourite restaurants in the Northern part of the island is the Giri Cafe. Situated in the charming villa of San Juan. A little surprise awaits you behind the wooden doors. We were literally blown away when we entered. A peaceful beautiful garden and an amazing setting in and outside. The menu is full of creativity and the food is exquisite! The very best of Ibiza’s flavours, culinary creations and most beautiful colours are presented on a plate. Again, they use locally grown products and vegetables from their own garden. Honestly, we really enjoyed all the food we have tried. Especially the burrata with ripe tomatoes and fresh herbs and the avocado cheesecake took me by surprise.

9. Restaurant Rebrots

The owners of Ses Soques appartments have a restaurant downstairs,  called Rebrots. Put this one on your list, the food here is phenomenal! During our stay at Ses Soques, we ate twice here and both times were amazing! This restaurant stands for quality at a reasonable price, and they surprise you with their amazing cooking skills. You can tell that everything is made with lots of passion and care. Not only the colours, but also the flavours were beyond expectations. Find yourself in a modern, romantic and relaxing setting, right at the beach of S’Arenal Petit. Reservations: +34 971 32 06 09

EAST IBIZA

10. Restaurant Hambre

This restaurant is next level! Hambre is by far one of my favourite spots on the island. Hambre is a fantastic, delicious and creative place in Santa Eulalia. With a retro vibe and vintage decor they offer dishes from farm to table. All their ingredients are locally sourced and come from the best farms. The love and attention to detail the chefs bring is unbelievable. They have a great selection of natural wines too. The owners (couple) are super friendly and have all the skills needed. They offer an ever-changing menu around every three days. If they do have the roasted cauliflower and vegan Caesar kale dishes on the menu we would recommend to try that!

WEST IBIZA

11. Madunia

The newest hotspot in Ibiza!
This stunning outdoor garden restaurant is perched on the hills of Cap Negret with panoramic views and sunsets. One of the most amazing aspects of Madunia is the setting with view and the soft and natural tones. The name ‘Madunia’ comes from ‘Mama Dunia’ or ‘Mother Earth’, reflecting the deep connection to nature.

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable dining experience. We started the evening with some cocktails which were super tasteful and then we got a few amazing dishes to try to share. The dishes at Madunia have Latin American flavours, using the finest ingredients from the island (locally sourced as much as they can from the island and in the future from their garden too).
The chef and the team have put a lot of love and effort in each dish, which you taste.
