07 Jun 9X AMAZING GLAMPINGS IN THE NETHERLANDS
Many people decided to stay in their own country during the pandemic. As a result, The Netherlands has more campings and glampings than ever. So if you haven’t decided yet where to go this summer; here are 9 amazing glampings in The Netherlands, we think you should check out this season.
Parc Buitengewoon
Besides offering tiny houses and lodges, you can also book luxury tipi’s and arcades in the glamping area. Parc Buitengewoon s located in Limburg, so great to combine with a glamping in Belgium if you would like to visit more during your holiday. If you check their website, you can pick from a beautiful Sunfield tipi tent equipped with a fireplace including a coffee machine, real comfortable beds, electricity, and some even have a hot tub! Breakfast is served at your tent if you wish so and you have your own little bathroom.
Glamp Outdoor Camp
This brand new pop-up glamping with a festival vibe, where comfortable camping accommodations are set up in the most special places in the Netherlands. Think of untouched nature reserves such as the Veluwe to unique places such as sleeping between historic bunkers on an abandoned military base in Twente. In short, Glamp Outdoor Camp offers an unforgettable holiday or mini-break, which you can make as luxurious as you want, with plenty of entertainment.
Bohiem
Disclaimer; They are already fully booked for 2022, but you can put yourself on the waiting list as some people always cancel. This summer Bohiem takes you on a small adventure in the Veluwe National Park, with a focus on food! Every Friday and Saturday a 5-course dinner is prepared in the open air for up to 20 guests. Ripstar Surf Camp, Ameland
We tried and tested this super cool surf camp ourselves! This surf glamping the Dutch island Ameland, is perfect for families with children aged from 5 to 16 years old. The camp itself is nicely decorated and fully equipped. Every day you are welcome all day in the surf bar, where they serve coffee, cold drinks and snacks. At Ripstar you sleep in luxury safari tents equipped with real beds and mattresses. Surrounded by nature, the surf camps are always located near the beach or forest. At Ameland this was no exception. From our tent it was about a 15 minute walk to the beach where you pass a little pine forest. Furthermore, the camp has a spacious surf tent with all surf equipment, an activity tent with all kinds of sports and games such as table tennis and longboards. And there are a lot of cozy places where you can relax after a long day at the beach. A must try for active families!
Kalumaan, Netl de Wildste Tuin
This pop-up glamping is normally hosting the Wildeburg Festival but now offers a mini-festival glamping experience at Netl de Wildste Tuin. There is a beach with a lake, playgrounds for kids, and a swimming pool. Furthermore, they have romantic huts, tipi, or safari tents. The idyllic village is surrounded by wild nature. Stroll through bamboo forests, along beaches, and with impressive works of art. Active people take the obstacle run of four km or swim a lap through the water in 45 minutes. Do you want to relax? At our various bars and mobile kitchens, there is enough space to hang, play, and relax at a distance. Nearby, you can visit Giethoorn or the lesser-known Dwarsgracht which we also mention in our book Off the Beaten Track.
East Nomads (new location TBC)
They offer private toilets, beautiful set-up bohemian bell tents, and freshly baked bread for breakfast. Again, festival organizers joined forces to offer you the ultimate experience. With your luxury place in the middle of nature, you will find peace and luxury close to home. So what’s different? Last year they offered unique packages such as a 6-course dinner by Ron Gastrobar and the Smokey BBQ Village. If you want to enjoy East Nomads without an extra package, book your overnight stay during the Family & Friends weeks. Choose a (long) weekend, (mid) week, or a long week. You can currently pre-register for 2022.
Landgoed Ottermeer, Brabant
It has to be said, that they are already fully booked until the end of August, so be quick if you want to avoid disappointment. Owners Frans and Yvonne bought an old farm with 20 hectares of agricultural land. With the help of Brabants Landschap, they developed and implemented an estate nature plan. In total, 50,000 trees were planted. The now mature nature reserve is one of the richest values of their estate. The camping site is located in the middle of it all. This glamping is perfect for young families. Besides offering bell tents, you can also bring your tent or campervan. landgoedottermeer.nl
Zwier, Vinkeveense Plassen
Located only 15 minutes from Amsterdam, Zwier is the place to go to for recharging your batteries. Young families and couples come here to relax, enjoy the Vinkeveense Plassen and eat delicious organic food. We stayed here 2 years ago and we can highly recommend this glamping. For more info check our review about Zwier.
Camping de Lakens, Bloemendaal aan Zee
Close to the beach in Bloemendaal aan Zee, you’ll find Camping de Lakens. Infamous for families that love the outdoors and kids that like to run around and play. Officially a camping, but they also offer bell tents and even starry-gazing domes. This place is always fully booked during the summer holidays, so don’t wait too long before you go!
