Europarcs Zuiderzee Netherlands

EUROPARCS ZUIDERZEE | PERFECT FOR FAMILIES!

Over the last few months we’ve tipped you the best staycations in the Netherlands from luxury to budget. However, we had never tipped you a holiday park yet. Until now.

If you haven’t heard of Europarcs yet, this is the perfect time to get aquatinted. The resort, that is part of Corendon, has many different resorts across the country. We decided to visit Europarcs Zuiderzee, located next to the Veluwemeer.

The Parc is one of the largest we’ve seen. There is an accommodation for every kind of traveller. Are you a fan of tiny houses with a touch of nature? Try the brand new Nature Houses available for 4 or 6 persons. If you are in for a little adventure, you can sleep in luxury safari tents, located next to the park’s camping. But if you like to treat you and you family to some luxury, there are many beautiful villa’s to choose from. Some are big enough for 10 people!

All houses, big or smaller, are equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and garden. What we love about Europarcs Zuiderzee, is that most accommodations are situated next to a small canal with lot’s of green surrounding the area. There are even beach houses, making it feel like your staying in the middle of the Dutch dunes.

For the kids

If you are a parent with one or more kids, this park is ideal. Besides the many activities, there is an in and outside playground, small animal farm and large bouncy air bubble (trust me, you kid is going to love that one). For the competitive families; you can go all out on midget golf or jeux les boules. And if the Covid measures allow it to re-open, the indoor pirate themed swimming pool is the ultimate playground for kids. I recently became mother of my second child, so I booked a villa that included a comfortable sofa, perfect for cocooning, while my oldest enjoyed playing football in the garden.

Food & Drink

Currently, you are able to order food from your accommodation with the QR code next to your front door. The menu is simple but perfect for families as it’s no fuss. Of course you can also cook your own meals and even shop for groceries in the resorts supermarket. Besides the snack bar, there is also a restaurant, fresh fries and a meaty BBQ that is open all day. Because the resort is located next to a lake, you can enjoy a drink or a nice lunch/dinner at the Beachclub located Resort Zuiderzee.

Around Europarcs Zuiderzee

Not far from the resort you’ll find Elburg. This medieval town is surrounded by water and has many cute alleys and old buildings. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. If it’s nature that you seek, you can explore the Veluwemeer or the forest nearby. TIP: visit Hanneke’s Pluktuin if you love flowers! You can pick your own flowers (Dutch tulips for example!) or visit the café for cake and coffee. If you love Tulips, this is also where you’ll find the tulip route.
