20 Mar LOCKDOWN EASTER IDEAS 2021 NETHERLANDS
Like last year, Easter 2021 will be very different than what we are used to. So we need to make the best of it, right?
Luckily, there are some Easter initiatives that can bring some joy to our Easter Weekend. Are you Egg-cited? (ok, that was a really bad joke)
PLAN AN ONLINE EASTER BRUNCH WITH YOUR FAMILY
We can imagine that you miss your family and friends during this Easter weekend. Thankfully, we have the internet and we can video call. With ZOOM, TEAMS and SKYPE you dail-in your family members. Add your laptop or tablet on the table during brunch so you can chitchat and feel a little bit closer to each other.
EASTER HOME DELIVERY
If you don’t feel like cooking and you feel like wearing your PJ’s all day, you might opt for some home delivery food! Find out which of these amazing restaurants offer delivery and take-out in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Furthermore, Okura Hotel is offering a special Easter brunch box and Waldorf Astoria is selling a unique and high class Easter high tea! Both worth ordering if you want something a little more special this Easter. For a lovely vegan brunch you order at the Meatless District for €37,50, which includes a bottle of fresh OJ and homemade poppyseed cake, yum!

Create the most colourful dessert ever
Don’t eat this if you’re on a diet! I saw this on YOUTUBE and had to include this in my list! What is it? Marshmallow peeps (only available in Canada and the US, but you can use normal marshmallows), cream and chocolate. Yes lord. Check this video on how to make it!
Easter cocktails baby!
Champagne at breakfast or brunch? Yeah, why not I say! It’s the best combination with fruit and you will bring an instant element of celebration to the table! You have a few options but let’s go for color and make a fruity Mexican Pomegranate Mimosa:
Ingredients:
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pomegranate juice
0.5 ounce lime juice
1.5 ounce tequila blanco
2 ounces champagne
1/2 teaspoon agave, (optional)
Pomegranate seeds
Instructions
If using the agave sugar, shake vigorously with the orange juice to combine. If using the arils place 4-5 in the bottom of the glass. Pour the orange juice into a standard 6 ounce champagne flute and top with the pomegranate juice, lime juice, tequila, and champagne. Pretty simple!
As shown above, plenty of options! So what will you be doing this Easter?
