T’s Teabar in Amsterdam

Forget about the hundreds of coffee bars in Amsterdam. Time for something a little different. T’s is a tea room where you can work, eat cakes and drink all kinds of tea! Drink it hot or cold, you have many options at T’s Teabar! I’ve always been a tea girl but because of the many good coffee bars that Amsterdam has on offer, I tend to go for a coffee instead of a cup of tea. Things might change from now on because tea tends to be healthier and at T’s you can expect good quality loose tea leaves instead of a supermarket teabag.

T’s started when 2 friends (Nazish & Sufian) saw countless coffee bars popping up in Amsterdam but no tea bars to be seen. They decided to takes matters into their own hands found a nice space in Amsterdam West where they could station T’s Teabar. With their Moroccan and Pakistan roots they both grew up with tea as the main drink on offer. When you walk into T’s, you’ll notice a wall of large copper tins filled with all kinds of different tea’s. They offer 2 concepts; You can drink tea and you can buy fresh leaves for you to enjoy at home.

I ordered a Lychee Ice Tea and a flat bread with sun dried tomatoes and humus. Besides the flatbread you can order quiches, scones and guilty free cakes (no gluten or sugar). If you prefer hot tea than you should try the home made Chai Tea (mother’s secret recipe!) or the popcorn time tea. Want something a little more healthy? Go for the Detoxti with elderflower or Beautea with roseships.
