Oh My Guts, Christmas Menu
Perhaps a little different because this is not your typical restaurant. Oh My Guts is a food delivery service where vegetables are the main ingredient. Freshly prepared, delicious, healthy ready-to-eat meals can be ordered at the touch of a button. For Christmas they have created a Christmas menu that is available from the 22nd of December via the website. Sustainability fact: Their delivery boxes and insulation paper are made from recycled cardboard. The meal wrappers are made from recycled cardboard and the transparent “non-plastic” trays are made from PLA (which is made from sugar cane or corn starch). PLA is 100% bio based. Good news, Oh My Guts delivers throughout the Netherlands!

This restaurant is owned by Michelin chef Sidney Schutte and his girlfriend Gigi. Their restaurants philosophy is simple; good food, good company, good vibes and very laid back. Sidney calls it a culinary living room where you eat as the chef does at his own home. That being said, their dishes are making your mouth water and so is their Christmas menu this year. You can pick up Clichés Christmas box and check the menu online that includes different starters and mains, the choice is yours. Last year this Christmas box was voted in the top 10 in Amsterdam. Nuff said, you can now pre-order for the 25th & 26th of December (do it before they sell out!)

It’s such a shame you can’t experience this cozy restaurant from the inside right now because with their location at the IJdok, the view of MOS Amsterdam is simply spectacular. However, don’t be sad because this amazing French-international inspired kitchen always serves food with a twist and exciting combinations. They already offer a brilliant take-away menu but now they’ve added the Christmas edition to enjoy at home. In total they serve 5-courses plus a surprise amuse! With every order they donate 3 Euro to the Regenboog foundation that supports homeless with free meals. You can now pre-order for the 23rd – 26th of December at mosamsterdam.nl
Okura at Home
One of our favourite hotels in Amsterdam is offering a one of a kind December menu, Asian style. You can order mouth-watering dishes, with four exquisite courses. With Okura at Home you serve Okura’s renowned dishes in an instant. The chefs already did the preparation and will guide you with clear instructions through the last steps to finish off the dishes. Start off with tuna tataki, followed by veal tenderloin with a variety of side dishes as main course and finish with a Christmas dessert of Valrhona-chocolate. Besides the choice of the three and four course menu, you can choose to order a selection of dishes separately. Pick up is possible on seven days a week from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm in front of the hotel.
Ok, Amsterdam has more than fine-dining and Marleen Kookt proves that simple home cooked meals can seriously contribute to an amazing Christmas dinner. She’s been making home-cooked dinner for years now and because she is still around only proves us that the food is delish! The meals are very healthy because Marleen uses little fat, sugars and seasonings. In addition, all dishes are freshly prepared, so there is no question of adding preservatives. Order online, the Christmas menu will be online soon but you can see a sneak preview on her Instagram account!
