What? A Theatre Festival inside the Volkshotel
Once a year, Volkshotel transforms into one big stage where bright, new theatre makers go wild. Expect a festival where you might bump into a little band in the elevator, join a theater-genius in an intimate hotel room or get lost in the smokey basement. Tickets are between €7,50 and €12,50 per show. The Morning at ZOKU

What? Winter wellness
On the 26th of February we once again invite you to join us for The Morning, a new breakfast experience where locals, travellers and other like-minded folks meet over a delicious three course breakfast. After the sell-out first edition at The Hoxton, The Morning crew will prepare another epic feast, this time at the stunning Zoku Amsterdam. Ticket are 20 euro and include three courses, one juice, unlimited coffee, tea and water.

You may have heard of the Go With The Glow girls before. These sexy vegans are hosting a pop-up vegan lunch every month and this time they have a pop-up restaurant at Thirthy5ive wine & food bar. Enjoy the choice of 2 juice vegan burgers including salad and wedges, made by ROOTS. Add a ice cold beer and you will never miss meat again! (at least on Monday!) The Amsterdam event venue People’s Place organized in the months of February, March and April, a three-piece pop-up evening dinner – dance style: Club Crescendo. What? An exclusive look into the Singapore Airlines experience
If you have never experienced a flight with Singapore Airlines, this is your chance. What? Healthy food market 
The pure market is being held in a special location this Sunday. The forest in Amsterdam! More than 70 stands will sell food and local brands on Sunday. Try some Dutch Gouda cheese, Surinam roti, Indian curry, American pie or a freshly chucked oyster. Eventbrite Gentle Yoga Classes

What? Yoga classes organized by Expats Republic in Amsterdam
The man behind Expats in Amsterdam organized these gentle yoga classes for beginners as well as experienced practitioners that includes playful teamwork.  The class only cost 9 euro’s per lesson and are given by Anna Kushnir who has more than 10 years experience in this field. Teleport Hotel Art Event
When? 27th – 28th of  November, Teleport Hotel
What?  Graffiti, streetart tour and drinks
The Teleport hotel has been around since this summer and is situated in an old office building near Sloterdijk Train Station. They are busy pimping up their location and in order to do so, they have invited several graffiti artists to live paint some of the bedrooms. From 12 till 6pm you can enjoy drinks and bites and from 2 till 4pm you can participate in a graffiti workshop of your own!

De Buurt Camping (The neighbourhood camping)

What? A self build camping with activities in the park
A great chance to get to know your neighbors if you live in Amsterdam West. Rembrants park will transform into a camping that you can help build! Everybody is equal so everybody is welcome. Book your spot and join in the fun!


The Longest Vegetarian Table

What? Enjoy great vegetarian food and send positive message to the world!
There are a few reasons why Tivall and the Vegetarian bond organize this event. They want to serve you amazing food, set a record for the longest vegetarian table and show the world that it’s easy and tasty to help the environment a great deal by eating less meat. There is space for 1950 people so if you want a spot at this special table, you should check their Facebook Page for more info. Pay a donation of choice, after all, the message is more important.

A Day at the Park

What? One of the oldest festivals in Amsterdam
This festival has been around for quiet some years and still attracts a good crowd! It always seems to be sunny (well, at least the times we were there!) and it’s one of the best festivals when it comes to the ambiance. Next to the line up and pumping tunes, they offer games, silly karaoke, a chill and champagne area and a carousel! There are still tickets available and you can buy them here:

Hoela land at A Day at the Park

Pop-Up 3D Streetart on Museumsquare
When? 13th – 17th of July, Museumplein
What? 3D streetart interacting with the audience
This summer organisation “Dopper” launches a grand Pop-Up Streetart Project . With the theme ” Water & Waste ” artists in Amsterdam, Berlin and Antwerp create various 3D works that are interactive for visitors . The project kicks off on July 16 at 1pm on the Museumsquare in Amsterdam, where the final result of artists Ruben Poncia and Adry del Rocío will be unveiled. They started the project on the 13th so if you want to see some live action, you can go and have a look already.

Kwaku Summer Festival

What? Suriname food festival with music and dance
If you want to experience Suriname food at it’s best, you should definitely go to Kwaku Festival. As soon as you arrive you smell the BBQ. What? Edelwise but this time outdoors

From the 15th of July and for the 6 weeks to follow, there will be film (on Fridays), a market, DJ’s, cocktails, art, food & games at the backyard of Radion in Amsterdam new West. For more info about what’s on on which days, check here.

What? A festival with no commercial headliners but very good music
They first started with their own music discovery platform where you can stream 22 brand new quality songs in 22 different genres that took Europe by storm. Amsterdam, Brussels and London and the rest of the world all go to to find out what the newest tunes are as curated by several DJ’s. The festival is just as cool if not cooler and they enjoyed their first edition last summer. No famous headliners but fully talented performers from DJ’s and bands. It’s gonna be May! Justin Timberlake once sang. Yes, it’s the month where we can finally say “We see you Summer!” There are lot’s of outside events this month and lot’s of food too! Here’s our Amsterdam Events Calendar for May.

Opening A’DAM Tower
When? From the 14th of May, North Amsterdam
What? The opening of Amsterdam’s Eiffel tower..(kind of)
Celebrating the opening of the highly anticipated A’DAM Tower. From the 14th of May you can go all the way up and enjoy a 360 degree view of the city. For the real daredevils there is a swing (the highest in Europe!) where you can fly back and forth over the edge (with a safety harness of course). There is an inside and an outside deck plus interactive exhibitions that change from time to time.
