Safest Airlines in the World

These are the safest airlines in the world

If you’re scared of flying (like I am!), chances are that you’re probably best off booking a seat with these airlines. The site AirlineRatings has just published the Airline Safety Ranking 2025. They evaluated the top 20 international airlines before creating the list of safest airlines in the world. They look at the fatality record if the airline is FAA-endorsed and more. Let’s take a look at a few.

1. Air New Zealand

Topping the charts as the safest airline in the world, this one is hard to knock off the nr. 1 spot.

2. Qantas

Yes, the Aussi’s came in at number two by doing an excellent job in keeping their passengers safe. With more than 100 years experience, this airline has an amazing record and is now accepted as the industry’s most experienced airline,” AirlineRatings’ editors wrote. 3. Qatar Airways

Founded in 1993, this airline is managing to keep it up for a large number of years. We flew with them a couple of times and they have the BEST business class seats (no jokes here, they’ve won an award for this).

3. Emirates

It’s one of our favorite airlines for sure! Love the service, leg room, business and the food is even great. The safety just makes it perfect!

9. EVA Air

Green is not always mean I guess! Eva Air (Taiwanese) was an airlines not many people in Europe had heard of. Over the years they keep returning in similar lists, and they are extremely costumer friendly and safe!

3. Cathay Pacific

Once at the very top of this list, the Chinese Cathay Pacific has been Hong Kong’s home airline for 7 decades now and a leader in the development of the Future Air Navigation System; the Flight Data Recorder to monitor plane and later crew performance; automatic landings using Global Navigation Satellite System as well as precision approaches around mountains in cloud using RNP… Ok, whatever that means.

“Our top 20 safest airlines are always at the forefront of safety innovation and the launching of new more advanced aircraft.”

KLM

Our Dutch pride was taken out off the top 25 and a recent emergency landing certainly has something to do with that. But let’s be honest, after more than 100 years of service, friendly faces, and great pilots – we think they deserve a spot back in the top 20.
