Where to stay in Bad Gastein

We would like to highlight two amazing and cool hotels in the Bad Gastein region, which we absolutely love.

Hotel Miramonte

With 37 rooms, this hotel is hard to describe in a few sentences, but we’ll try. It breaths chic cool, but without trying too hard. A touch of boho, but with style and comfort. Easy going, and serene, yes that’s best to describe Miramonte. Their in-house restaurant serves uncomplicated food with the best ingredients from the region. Miramonte has a spa and retreat program, and works with Ayurveda as their chosen concept. Experienced massage therapists and professional yoga teachers offer classes and treatments.

Enjoy wine by selected local wineries, freshly brewed beer from the family brewery, revitalized water from the Gastein mountains and cocktails of international stature at the bar.

You can also use Miramonte as the perfect work & play location, providing working nomads with co-working spaces. The freshness of the mountains and the chilled atmosphere of Miramonte are inspiring to say the least. Book your stay here.

Haus Hirt

Another great hotel, and perfect for families also, is Haus Hirt. With the same owner as Hotel Miramonte, the hotel has similarities with its 33 bedrooms. Needless to say, it stands out on its own with a few highlights. The building itself has a long history that dates back from 1924, when it was used as a private home and hideaway by famous artists and writers. Traditional and nostalgic features are still to be found in Haus Hirt, such as some of the furniture and style.

In terms of families, Haus Hirt is really the place to be. There is also plenty to do for kids and teens, with many activities included. A varied children’s program and cool workshops for kids & teens are offered, as well as babysitters on request. There are special dates throughout the year where the spa is open to kids, and babycare is included so you can relax. Check their website for more info on availability and prizes. The hotel also offers yoga lessons twice a day, and has great in-house massages.
