For a few years, tiny cabins – and tiny houses in general, have grown in popularity. Needless to say, they are adorable and often located in great spots around the country. If you looking for a nice staycation in the Netherlands this summer, these tiny cabins of Willy Zuid in Katwijk aan Zee may be exactly what you are looking for.
Picture this; right at the beach, equipped with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. These tiny beach cabins in Katwijk aan Zee are ideal for spending some time with your family. Besides immediate access to the beach, these cabins are close to the city centre plus many great beach clubs.

If you don’t feel like cooking (and we can imagine you are taking some time off the household tasks), you’ll find Beach Bar Willy Zuid just a few steps away from the cabins! Owned by the same people, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner here! They have a large and comfortable terrace with a perfect sea view. Order yourself a refreshing drink, sit back, and relax.
The Cabins
Willy Zuid has 4 deluxe beach cabins and 16 comfort beach cabins. The deluxe cabins are perfect for 6 people and the comfortable cabins are for 4 people. Keep in mind that the cabins are tiny, so don’t expect a lot of space when you decide to book with friends. That being said, these cabins are perfect for a romantic getaway or with kids. We decided to stay for a midweek in the comfortable beach cabin of 35m2 with two bedrooms. To demonstrate; cabins are all air-conditioned, include a heather (perfect when it cools down at night), a small lounge and dining area with a kitchen, bathroom, and patio with a picnic table and two beach chairs. To emphasise, the master bedroom contains two beds, while the second bedroom contains a bunk bed which is perfect for kids. It may feel a bit small at first, but you don’t need much more when you are spending most time outside.
What are the costs?
Mind you, these cabins are often sold out so make sure you book a few months in advance to ensure a spot! You can rent a cabin from 550 euros for a midweek ex tax, cleaning costs, and sheets.
