With a bit of luck you’re able to see the northern lights

Edmonton

To begin with, Edmonton is the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta. It is perfect to start your luxury wintersport trip from. Secondly, the city is known as the “festival capital of Canada”, but also perfect for those who like to shop. In comparison to other winter destinations, you can find North America’s largest shopping mall (West Edmonton Mall) in Edmonton. If you are exploring the city, be sure to visit the Old Strathcona neighbourhood, where you will find many restaurants and hotspots! Furthermore, the surrounding River Valley is very suitable for winter hikes, fat biking (see photo), or a snow Segway tour. Nearby, you’ll find Elk Island National Park where you can spot wildlife and with a bit of luck you’re able to see the northern lights! Must do: watch an ice hockey game from The Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Palace.
