Yogiski Les Menuires

YOGISKI WEEK IN SAINT MARTIN AND LES MENUIRES

Every April, you can experience Yogiski Week in Les Menuires, and the cozy village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. With over 600 kilometers of ski slopes and stunning mountain views, it’s one of the best places in Europe for winter fun. Let’s dive in this special week full of yoga, wellness and skiing.

Mountains in the French Alps

What is Yogiski?

To summarize, it mixes mountain adventures with wellness, where you can take free yoga classes, relaxing sound baths, and fun workshops. You can spend the morning on the slopes and the afternoon unwinding with a yoga session. It’s the perfect mix of action and calm! Les Trois Vallées is a dream spot for anyone who loves snow. It’s where you’ll find famous ski resorts like Val Thorens, Brides les Bains Les Menuires and Méribel

How to Get to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville

Honestly, it’s super easy to get from Amsterdam to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Les Menuires by train, and the views are amazing too! Take the Eurostar from Amsterdam Central to Paris Gare du Nord (3h20), and after a TGV to Chambéry (around 3h). From there, you can take a local train or bus to Moutiers, followed by a short 30-minute drive into the heart of the Alps. In total, the journey takes about 9 hours, with breathtaking mountain landscapes along the way. So enjoy the view, bring along something tasty for lunch, and download a movie to your laptop.

Where to Stay: Saint-Martin-de-Belleville

Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is often called the prettiest village in Les Trois Vallées (for a good reason). Located just a 10-minute drive from Les Menuires, it’s calm, cozy, and full of mountain charm. Plus, it’s home to some of the valley’s best food spots! Here are 2 recommendations to stay:

  • Chalet Monique: A warm, family-owned chalet that feels like a true mountain home. Perfect for families or groups, it has four bedrooms (each with a private bathroom), a big kitchen table for cozy breakfasts and dinners, a fireplace for snowy nights, and a big balcony for sunny days.
  • Hotel Lodji: Think traditional chalet charm meets modern mountain luxury. With a gorgeous spa, panoramic terraces, and a fantastic in-house restaurant, Lodji is ideal if you’re looking to relax in style.

What can you do during Yogiski Week?

Yogiski Week is all about slowing down and enjoying the moment, whether that’s through yoga, mountain walks, or relaxing wellness workshops. Most of it is free, and the atmosphere is super easygoing and welcoming. You can try yoga at 2,800 meters, a candlelit Yin class, Tai Chi, sound baths, and more. We loved the sunset snowshoe hike to Lac du Lou, where you’ll do a Hatha yoga session in a mountain hut. After you enjoy a tasty vegetarian dinner, and walk back under the stars.

  • Start your day with Yoga: Choose from Tai Chi, Vinyasa Flow, or Ashtanga. These classes are led by experienced teachers, and open to all levels. The energy is relaxed, and the settings are stunning!
  • Recharge at La Bella Vie Spa: After skiing or hiking, treat yourself to a little mountain magic. Enjoy the hammam, sauna, and indoor pool with Alpine views, and don’t miss lunch on their outdoor terrace.
  • Workshops: A variety of workshops are offered throughout the week, and you can sign up for the ones that interest you most. We especially loved the sound healing session, and were pleasantly surprised by the holistic hair care workshop, where we picked up some great tips. Another highlight? A wine-pairing session featuring delicious local wines.
  • Go for a hike: While the peaks stay snowy, the lower trails in spring are lush, green, and ready to be explored. We had sunny skies and 20°C so it was a dream for an afternoon walk.
  • And of course… Hit the slopes!: Les Trois Vallées is still in full swing in April. With wide runs, deep powder, and views for days.
